Here’s some basic knowledge about NFTs and what you can do on RAKUZA

So what is an NFT?

An NFT is a type of digital asset that utilizes the blockchain, which functions as the basic technology behind crypto assets (virtual currency).
In general, digital data is easy to copy and tamper with. It is also difficult to add value to when compared to real assets and products for sale. However, by using blockchain technology, mutual verification among participants makes copying and tampering difficult, and allows anyone to prove the authenticity and ownership of a given asset.

In other words, the digital data becomes "unique" and carries with it certificates of ownership and authenticity, which allows it to be traded as an asset with actual value, similar to real works of art.

What are gas fees?: Gas fees are the transaction fees required to send Ethereum. With Ethereum, a processing fee is charged for the execution of smart contracts and remittances.

Here’s a guide on how to connect your wallet, purchase items, and more.

What types of items are traded on RAKUZA?: RAKUZA primarily deals in sketches, anime cels, and Japanese works of art.

Are there any annual membership or usage fees?: There are no annual membership or usage fees on our platform. You will only be charged a processing fee when sending your money for a purchase.

What payment methods do you accept?: You can currently pay with NOBUNAGA tokens (NBNG) for your purchases. In the coming months, we plan to allow for purchases using Ethereum as well.

Do you accept credit cards?: We do not currently accept credit cards.

What is the purchasing process like?

What wallets are supported on RAKUZA?: RAKUZA currently supports MetaMask. MetaMask is an Ethereum-based web wallet app that users can safely and securely use. It can be added as a browser extension to Google Chrome and serves as a wallet for users to manage their crypto accounts and connect to the blockchain.

What currencies can I use on RAKUZA?: You can currently pay with NOBUNAGA tokens (NBNG) for your purchases. In the coming months, we plan to allow for purchases using Ethereum as well.

What are your transaction fees?: RAKUZA charges no transaction fees itself. However, you will be required to pay gas fees for sending Ethereum. Gas fees are also subject to change. Your gas fees will be displayed before completing your transaction, so please make sure to check the fees before making your purchase.

What does resale refer to?: Currently, we do not allow for reselling an item. Resale refers to when you resell an item purchased on RAKUZA. We will be adding a resale function to the platform sometime in mid-June.

Why does it take time to confirm a transaction?

RAKUZA uses the Ethereum blockchain. Demand for transactions using Ethereum has been steadily increasing, which has led to longer processing times. If you are experiencing a delay in your transaction, you can confirm your transaction details and time remaining by using Etherscan below.

Can I use the items I own in any way I like?: The RAKUZA NFT is an NFT for ownership. Permission from the copyright holder is required for duplications and secondary use.

How do I log out from my RAKUZA account?: Click on the “my icon” button in the top right of the screen and log out to disconnect your wallet.

When will I be able to sell items?: Sales and purchases of items from other users will be available with the release of our resale function scheduled for mid-June.

How can I create my own original item?: Original items cannot be created. RAKUZA currently trades only in NFTs for works of art whose authenticity has been verified.

Are there certificates of authenticity or appraisals to prove the item is the real thing?: All items carry a certificate of authenticity. Original items come with a certificate of appraisal, while printed items come with a certificate of authenticity verifying they are an official replica.

Can the owner download data of the artwork?: In general, data for the artwork cannot be downloaded. NFTs on this exchange are NFTs for ownership, and permission from the author is required for duplication and secondary use.

What should I do if I want the actual item?: We intend to allow for actual ownership of the item by burning the NFT in the future. Burn functionality is scheduled to be implemented in mid-June.

What items will be available for purchase in the future?: We plan on trading in a wide range of different styles of artwork in the future. Stay tuned as we will continue to add new items moving forward.
